Desktop notifications for incoming e-mails
Set up in your browser with just two clicks, and you'll never miss an incoming email in the future.
We will send you the message as a short notification directly to the desktop of your computer.
After you have logged in to the mail.co.uk webmailer, you can set up the following for your browser activate desktop notifications for your browser in the settings mode under "Messages/E-Mail/Notifications".
You will then always receive desktop notifications when you receive new e-mails and have opened the mail.co.uk webmailer in your browser at the same time.
However, the browser does not have to be actively open in the foreground for this - it can even run minimized in the taskbar.
Activate notifications
To receive desktop notifications, click on the "Set up notifications" button.
Chrome:
Then click on "Allow" in Chrome - desktop notifications are activated.
Safari:
A prompt will appear "The website "https://mail.co.uk" would like to display alerts in the message center".
Confirm this query by clicking on the "Allow" button.
Firefox:
In Firefox a query appears "Should desktop notifications from https://mail.co.uk be displayed?" Select the setting "Always show" from the selection box.
Deactivating notifications
You have already set up to receive desktop notifications, but would like to disable them again:
Chrome:
In the address bar of your browser, click on the small page sign to the left of the mail.co.uk URL.
Under "Permissions" you can block the notifications.
Safari:
In the settings of your Safari browser, select the tab "Notifications" and there for the entry "mmail.co.uk" select the setting "Do not allow notifications".
Firefox:
In the address bar of your browser, click on the lock icon to the left of the mail.co.uk URL.
Select the option "Block" under "Permissions" for the entry "Show notifications".
Undo the blocking of notifications

Chrome:
In the address bar of your browser, click on the icon to the left of the mail.co.uk URL.

Firefox:
