Assign Apple Mail folders to the mail.co.uk IMAP folders
Once your inbox has loaded, you will see your folders on the left. You can now assign which folders Apple Mail should use on the mail.co.uk IMAP server.
Apple creates its own folders on the mail.co.uk server if you do not assign them yourself. This applies to the four folders "Drafts", "Sent Mail", "Trash", and "Junk".
For example, to assign the "Drafts" folder, follow these steps:
- First, click in the left panel of Apple Mail on the mail.co.uk folder you want to assign, e.g., "Drafts".
- Then, in the Mailbox menu, click "Use This Mailbox For" and select the corresponding Apple Mail mailbox, i.e., Drafts.
- Repeat this process for the mail.co.uk folders Sent (Sent Mail), Trash, and Spam (Junk).
